By MANILA, Philippines — Palace press officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said on Saturday that the decision of the Senate to archive the articles of impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte is not against the administration of President Marcos.
In an interview on Saturday, Castro emphasized that it is not the Marcos administration who submitted the articles of impeachment against Duterte in the first place.
The Palace press officer likewise pointed out that the Executive will not intervene with Congress—both the House and the Senate—as they are regarded as coequal branches of the government.
