Alas Pilipinas put up a tough fight but still fell to Thailand, 25-22, 25-17, 24-26, 25-16, Saturday in the second leg of the SEA V.League in Vietnam.
The Filipino spikers slid to 0-2 but not before stealing a set from the powerhouse Thais after ruling the extended third frame.
This was the second time in this iteration of the four-nation tournament that Alas Pilipinas dragged Thailand into an extended game after losing a four-setter last week, Angel Canino led that third-set fightback, scoring back-to-back points including a kill block that extended the match after the Thais raced to a 2-0 set lead.
