By MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confiscated more than P15.6 million in counterfeit footwear in Pasay City.
In a statement on Tuesday, the NBI said its Intellectual Property Rights Division seized 13,058 pairs of counterfeit Havaianas in various sizes and designs.
NBI agents served multiple search warrants on Thursday, March 5, targeting the illegal activity after receiving evidence that “several commercial establishments were engaged in the unauthorized storage, distribution, and sale of counterfeit merchandise.”
