LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Authorities in Imus City, Cavite, on Thursday advised residents to observe safety precautions after the locality’s heat index reached a dangerous 44.1 degrees Celsius at 1:10 p.m.
In a public advisory posted on Facebook, the Imus City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) warned that prolonged exposure to extreme heat may lead to heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.
