MANILA, Philippines — Several areas over the west of Luzon may experience rains on Friday, Independence Day, as the southwest monsoon continues to bring cloud bands, state meteorologists said on Thursday.
Weather updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) showed that there will be a high chance of rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
The rains over Luzon are expected to slightly lower temperatures over the western side, ranging from 26 to 31 degrees Celsius in Laoag; 17 to 24 degrees in Baguio City; 24 to 32 degrees in Tagaytay; 26 to 33 degrees in Puerto Princesa, and 27 to 34 degrees in Metro Manila.
