By Heavy rains are expected to affect more areas in Luzon, as well as the western section of Visayas, early next week due to the enhanced southwest monsoon, or habagat, the state weather bureau said Saturday.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration weather specialist Daniel Villamil said during the 5 p.m weather advisory that heavy monsoon rains are expected between Monday or Tuesday due to the effects of Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Saudel.
“Dahil yung general movement nga nitong si Typhoon Saudel ay generally west northwestward. So, posible itong dumaplis sa northern boundary ng ating PAR, wala man itong magiging pag ulan o wala itong dalang pagulan sa atin, ay hahatakin ito or palalakasin yung habagat. Possible as early as Monday or Tuesday next week,” he said.
