MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” is expected to bring rains over Luzon on Sunday, the state weather bureau said.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that the southwest monsoon will affect northern and central Luzon.
It also warned of “cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms” in Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Pampanga, Bataan, Tarlac, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas and the rest of the Ilocos Region.
