MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine area of responsibility is forecast to develop into a tropical depression on Friday, August 22, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its 5 a.m. update, weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that the LPA inside PAR, which was last spotted 150 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora, now has a “high” chance of becoming a tropical depression.
