The suspect in the killing of a shawarma store employee in Quezon City has surrendered and was placed in the custody of the Quezon City Police District, QCPD Deputy District Director for Administration and Officer-in-Charge Police Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio said.
The suspect who was then in Barobo, Surigao del Sur, surrendered on May 8 to authorities, according to a QCPD statement issued Friday.
Police said they earlier coordinated with relatives of the suspect who in turn communicated with the suspect, urging him to surrender.
When the suspect agreed to surrender, the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) coordinated with the local police station. With the help of Police Regional Office 13 and the Barobo Municipal Police Station, the suspect officially surrendered to authorities on May 8.
