By Thirteen individuals were arrested for allegedly pilfering petroleum products in Quezon province, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday.
The suspects were caught in a compound in Barangay Silangang Mayao in Lucena City late Monday afternoon following intelligence operations, according to a police report from the Police Regional Office Calabarzon (PRO 4A).
“There, we caught them in the act of transferring the petroleum products from the tanker to the canisters and the LPG tanks,” PRO 4A director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay told reporters in Filipino in a phone interview.
