By PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Zamboanga Peninsula region (PDEA-9) led the destruction of some P1.1 billion worth of illegal drugs on Thursday, November 6, at a private facility in Barangay Talisayan, Zamboanga City.
PDEA-9 regional director Bryan Babang said the event is a historic step in the campaign against illegal drugs that marked the largest drug destruction activity conducted in the Zamboanga Peninsula, surpassing the previous destruction event held last year at the Libertad Power and Energy Corporation (LPEC) in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, where the agency destroyed illegal drugs worth P331.2-million.
