By MANILA, Philippines — Scorching heat is expected across the country, with the heat index reaching up to 41°C, while Metro Manila may experience 37°C to 38°C on Thursday, the state weather bureau warned.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), these forecast heat indices are classified under “extreme caution” category (33 to 41°C).
