MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area (LPA) east of Mindanao may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) within the next 24 hours but is not yet projected to develop into a tropical cyclone, the state weather bureau said in its latest update.
Designated as 08h, the LPA was last spotted 1,165 kilometers east of Northeastern Mindanao as of 3 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in its morning weather forecast.
