MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or the habagat and a tropical depression (formerly Jacinto) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) are the weather systems that will affect the country on Friday, the state weather bureau said.
In its morning forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that the trough of the tropical depression, which was last spotted 650 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales, outside the PAR, is expected to bring cloudy skies with a high chance of rain over the following areas:
