The Bureau of Immigration nabbed a South Korean fugitive who was attempting to extend his tourist visa in the country.
According to a statement on Thursday, suspect Bae Naseok was trying to extend his visa at the BI’s head office in Intramuros on February 12 when the Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) flagged that he was part of a Watchlist Order and a Blacklist Order for being an undesirable alien and a threat to public safety.
He also had a warrant of arrest issued against him in South Korea for allegedly impersonating his victim’s child and installing a remote-controlled application on their mobile to control their phone banking system.
