The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) held a meeting to ensure peace and order on the rallies that would take place during the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power revolt on February 25, an official of the department said Tuesday.
Justice spokesperson Polo Martinez said the PNP and the DOJ discussed where policemen would be positioned and what areas must be monitored. “The DOJ through its prosecutors will be on standby to assist law enforcement for the conduct of Inquest, if necessary,” Martinez said in a message to reporters.
