By MANILA, Philippines — High chances of rain were forecast across most of the country due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) on Saturday, August 9, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In Pagasa’s Saturday morning weather forecast, specialist Grace Castañeda said cloudy skies and high chances of rain would prevail over the Mimaropa and Bicol regions, as well as Quezon province, due to the monsoon.
