By PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — Three minors were rescued in a joint anti-trafficking operation Wednesday in Barangay Tigbalabag, Zamboanga City, an official said.
The operation was led by the Zamboanga Sea-Based Anti-Trafficking Task Force (ZSBATTF) and the Women and Children Protection Center–Mindanao Field Unit (WCPC-MFU).
Digital and electronic evidence was also seized during the implementation of the warrant, leading to the arrest of a suspect now facing charges under Republic Act 11930 (Anti-OSAEC Law), Republic Act 9208 as amended (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act), and Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
