Heavy rains due to the enhanced southwest monsoon or “habagat” will continue hounding Luzon and parts of the Visayas on Sunday, according to the state weather bureau.
The weather bureau also reported that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers may also affect the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region also due to the habagat.
Pagasa weather specialist Daniel Villamil said that the effects of the southwest monsoon will persist in the next few days due to the low-pressure areas (LPAs) outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
