MANILA — Tropical storm Uwan has reentered the Philippine area of responsibility, the state weather bureau announced on Wednesday afternoon.
At 4 p.m., Uwan was located 210 kilometers northwest of Itbayat, Batanes, outside the PAR, with winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 90 kph. It is moving east northeastward at 10 kph.
Uwan will make landfall over southern Taiwan tonight and rapidly weaken into a remnant low by Thursday afternoon over the northern Philippine Sea.
