Typhoon Tino has made landfall over Silago, Southern Leyte at around Tuesday midnight, the state weather bureau said.
In an update on its Facebook page at past 1 a.m. Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said the center of the eye of Typhoon Tino has made landfall earlier at 12 a.m.
In its 11 p.m. tropical cyclone bulletin, PAGASA warned of “life-threatening and damaging” storm surges in areas under high storm signals.
