MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued a thunderstorm warning over Metro Manila and four other areas in Luzon on Monday, July 28, the day of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s State of the Nation Address (Sona).
According to Pagasa’s advisory issued around 9 a.m., moderate to heavy rain showers accompanied by lightning and strong winds are expected in the following areas within the next two hours:

✨Laguna
✨Cavite
✨Batangas
✨Bulacan
The weather bureau added that these conditions are currently being experienced in the following areas, may persist within the next two hours, and could affect nearby locations.
