MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies and scattered rain showers will prevail in Mindanao and Eastern Visayas, while the rest of the country will have fair weather on Sunday, according to the state weather bureau.
In its morning forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, had slightly weakened.
With this, the state weather service said that two weather systems currently affect the country: the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and the easterlies.
