MANILA, Philippines — Rain showers are forecast to persist in most parts of the country on Tuesday due to the effects of the southwest monsoon, or habagat, and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said the habagat would continue to bring scattered rains to the Ilocos Region, Benguet, Abra, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, and Pampanga.
