By Malacañang on Friday (Canada time) said Senator Rodante Marcoleta will have the opportunity to defend himself in court following the filing of plunder charges against him by the Office of the Ombudsman.
Speaking to reporters here at Sutton Place Hotel, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the administration remains firm in its policy of holding accountable those involved in alleged corruption, regardless of status or political affiliation.
“Ang Pangulo naman po at ang administrasyon na ito, ang polisiya ay managot ang dapat managot. Dapat nating linisin ang anumang isyu ng korapsyon sa ating gobyerno at sa ating bansa (The President and this administration’s policy is that those who are accountable must be held accountable. We must clean up any issues of corruption in our government and in our country),” Castro said.
