LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — A low pressure area (LPA) may form within the next week and could become a tropical cyclone, based on a forecast issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday, November 28.
Pagasa reported a tropical cyclone-like vortex forming far east of the country from November 28 to December 4, which may move towards the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), “There is a possibility of an LPA forming within six days, possibly this weekend, in the far east of Mindanao,” said weather specialist Benison Estareja on a Friday forecast.
