MANILA, Philippines — Two weather systems — the southwesterly windflow and frontal system — are forecast to bring rain showers over parts of the Luzon region on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Based on its 5 a.m. weather forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said that the southwesterly windflow and frontal system would cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across the Ilocos Region, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
“Therefore, we would like to remind our countrymen in the aforementioned areas to take precaution and be alert for possible flooding or landslides brought about by rain showers,” Aurelio said.
