By ILOILO CITY – Police in Western Visayas seized over 11 kilos of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P77.07 million and arrested 173 drug suspects in 138 anti-illegal drug operations conducted from May 22 to June 21, the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) reported.
The month-long crackdown resulted in the arrest of 55 High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and 118 Street-Level Individuals (SLIs), while authorities also recovered 112.46 grams of marijuana.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) recorded the largest drug haul, recovering 5,085 grams of suspected shabu and arresting 60 suspects. The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 (RPDEU-6) followed with the seizure of 4,000 grams of shabu and the arrest of 13 individuals.
