P4.1-M shabu seized in Quezon; 3 suspected traffickers held – PNP

LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Police seized suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth more than P4.1 million from three alleged drug traffickers arrested in two buy-bust operations in Quezon province on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 2 and 3.

Lt. Col. Ryan Hernandez, Lucena City police chief, reported that the suspects, identified only by their aliases “Archie,” 29, and “Ron,” 43, were arrested at 2:27 a.m. after allegedly selling P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer posing as a drug user during a transaction in Barangay Ibabang Iyam.

Recovered from the suspects were five heat-sealed plastic bags and one plastic sachet containing around 150 grams of suspected shabu, Based on the standard valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board, the confiscated drugs were estimated to be worth P1.02 million at P6,800 per gram.
