By ILOILO CITY — A 46-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao here on Monday evening, yielding about P1.49 million worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) and a firearm.
The operation, carried out at 6:20 p.m., was led by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) under Police Capt. Roque C. Gimeno III, and supported by the Iloilo Maritime Police Station, the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) SWAT team, and the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Police Station 10.
Seized during the operation were 15 heat-sealed plastic sachets and two knot-tied plastic bags containing suspected shabu, with a total weight of about 220 grams and an estimated street value of P1,496,000.
