MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies with high chances of rain showers will prevail over the western parts of the country on Sunday due to the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), in its morning advisory, reported that habagat will specifically affect the western part of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
“We expect cloudy skies with more chance of rain over the Western part of Luzon, including Pangasinan, Bataan, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Metro Manila, and most of Visayas,” Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said in Filipino.
