By CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Police arrested a recently freed inmate after he allegedly shot a man whom he tried to rob on Maundy Thursday in San Miguel town.
Police identified the suspect as “Lon,” 47, who was arrested in a cemetery in Barangay Sta. Rita Bata during a police hot pursuit operation at dawn on Good Friday.
Maj. Jaynalyn Udal, information officer of Bulacan Provincial Police Office, said the suspect was previously charged and detained for cases involving illegal drugs. Recovered from the suspect was a caliber .38 revolver and the motorcycle he used in the crime.
