By MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila is likely to experience rain on Jan. 9, the Feast of the Black Nazarene, as a shear line is expected to affect northern parts of the country while the northeast monsoon weakens, the weather bureau said.
In its Thursday afternoon forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the shear line currently affects Northern Samar, the entire Bicol Region, Quezon province, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, and Palawan.
