MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Mirasol made landfall in Casiguran, Aurora early Wednesday morning, the state weather bureau said.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that the tropical depression was last spotted near Casiguran.
Mirasol was packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) with gusts up to 90 kph, moving northwest at 10 kph.
Mirasol is forecast to move north-northwest over northern Luzon in the next 12 hours and is expected to re-emerge over the Luzon Strait by Wednesday afternoon or evening.
