MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday urged personnel of local government units and regional offices of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to uphold transparency and accountability in all government projects to prevent corruption.
The president stressed the importance of open and participative governance at all levels in regaining the trust of the public to public institutions.
“Let us remember that the Filipino people are watching and have the right to criticize. And we in government are the builders and deliverers of genuine and reliable public service,” he said in his speech at the SubayBayani Awards 2025 at the Manila Hotel.
