MANILA, Philippines — Criminal complaints resulting from the multi-billion peso flood control corruption scandal will not be affected by the alleged plan of dismissed Bulacan First District Engineering Office chief Henry Alcantara to retract his earlier statements that he gave kickbacks from anomalous projects to lawmakers.
This situation is according to Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson, who also said that Senate Blue Ribbon committee’s inquiry into the flood control scandal will resume on Jan. 19.
