By Broadcast journalist Kara David and vlogger-actress Ivana Alawi were among the personalities recognized at the inaugural Famas Broadcast Arts Awards held at the Manila Hotel on July 20.
David won Best Documentary for her I-Witness documentary, “Embalsamador de Motor.” She also bagged the Best Public Affairs Talk Show for “I-Listen.” The award-winning journalist also shared the Best Host for Public Service award with Alawi.
David recently made headlines after content creator Boss Toyo drew criticism over his social media posts that questioned the findings of the veteran journalist in her latest “I-Witness” documentary on an illegal dumpsite at an Aeta ancestral land in Subic, Zambales.
