By MANILA, Philippines — The number of people affected by the southwest monsoon (habagat) and Typhoon Bising (international name: Danas) has risen to over 111,000, according to the latest data from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
As of 6 a.m. Thursday, the agency recorded a total of 111,271 individuals, or 34,539 families, affected across 92 barangays in Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
