MANILA, Philippines–Alex Eala and partner Victoria Mboko have withdrawn from the 2026 French Open doubles tournament.
The Filipino-Canadian pair had been scheduled to face Leylah Fernandez and Diana Shnaider in the Round of 64 on Wednesday, Instead, Fernandez and Shnaider lost to Oksana Selekhmeteva and Anastasia Zakharova, 6-3, 6-1, in the opening round.
Mboko is likely conserving her fitness for her singles campaign at Roland Garros, where she has advanced to the second round against Katerina Siniakova, With the doubles withdrawal, Eala has concluded her clay-court campaign and will now shift her focus to the grass season, including a return to Wimbledon in July.
