By Unidentified gunmen shot dead a pandesal vendor in Datu Montawal, Maguindanao del Sur, on Monday morning, Aug. 17.
The 10 a.m. gun attack occurred while an election gun ban was in effect in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) for next month’s historic parliamentary elections.
Capt. Steffi Salanguit, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) spokesperson, identified the victim as alias “Darwin,” 35, a resident of Kabacan, North Cotabato.
