KIDAPAWAN CITY — Six armed men made off with about P13 million worth of jewelry and cash after robbing a pawnshop in the city’s public market on Saturday morning, April 11, police said.
Lt. Col. Argie Celeste, Kidapawan City police chief, said four of the suspects carried out the 9 a.m. heist inside the pawnshop, and two other cohorts served as lookouts and getaway drivers on motorcycles.
Celeste said the suspects first approached an unsuspecting security guard who was in full uniform but unarmed before carrying out the robbery, “It was well planned. The suspects fled on board two motorcycles. We are pursuing them,” he said.
