MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. must be held accountable over the flood control anomalies, the same way his father and namesake, President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was held accountable, the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) said.
“One of the key issues against the Marcos dictatorship in 1986 was corruption, the plunder of the national coffers. It is the same very issue that is being raised against his son in relation to the flood control scandal,” Bayan chairperson Teddy Casiño told reporters on the sidelines of a protest marking the 40th anniversary of the People Power Revolution.
