By MANILA, Philippines — Former Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio “Babes” Singson, who served a full six-year term from 2010 to 2016, is back in public service after being appointed as one of the three members of the newly formed Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
Palace press officer Claire Castro announced his appointment on Saturday afternoon. According to Castro, Singson “led one of the most significant reform efforts in the agency’s history, introducing systems to promote transparency, eliminate ghost projects, and ensure proper use of public funds.”
