MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Auring has weakened into a low-pressure area (LPA) and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said early Friday morning.
In Pagasa’s 5 a.m. update, Weather Specialist Benison Estareja said Auring, which became a cyclone at 8 p.m. on Thursday and was the first to form in the country in 2025, began crossing a large part of Taiwan.
“As of 2 a.m. this morning, it had already left the PAR, and at the same time, it weakened again into an LPA,” Estareja said.
