By Sen. Jinggoy Estrada was named on Wednesday as the chairperson of the Senate committee on electoral reforms, while Sen. Rodante Marcoleta was made chairperson of the Senate panel on tourism, despite their detention for plunder charges.
Senate minority leader Alan Peter Cayetano elected the bloc’s committee chairmanships on Wednesday afternoon to “accomodate” the request of Senate majority leader Miguel Zubiri to “get back to work, despite their schedule.”
