Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander Morico II said this about the shooting in the Senate on the night of May 13 and the departure of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa from its premises in the early hours of May 14.
But pressed on whether the shooting had been staged, Morico answered, “I cannot make that conclusion because the investigation is ongoing.”
The shooting at the Senate occurred when its now-suspended Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca observed a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agent just outside the premises, according to a spot report previously sent by Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla to Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano.
