MANILA, Philippines — Law enforcers searched for Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa in four locations on Wednesday, according to the Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP – CIDG).
In a statement later on Wednesday, the PNP – CIDG clarified that its operatives, along with National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents, had visited two locations in Parañaque City and one each in Bulacan and Pampanga to track down the senator.
Dela Rosa is wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in connection with his alleged participation in then – President Rodrigo Duterte’s bloody war on drugs, which killed up to 30,000 people, according to human rights groups’ estimates.
