By MANILA, Philippines — Ramil Madriaga emerged as the “weakest link” during Tuesday’s impeachment hearing, Vice President Sara Duterte’s legal counsel Salvador Paolo Panelo Jr. said.
“As expected, Madriaga failed to address — because he could not address — the clear and convincing evidence presented by the vice president in the perjury complaint that proves he is a fraud,” said Panelo, who was not present in the House justice panel hearing.
Panelo also said Madriaga merely presented evidence on what he called “irrelevant and immaterial matters,” claiming that his allegations, including cash deliveries and receiving instructions through phone calls, are “conveniently and fatally unverifiable.”
