MANILA, Philippines — The combined effects of the northeast monsoon, easterlies, and a shear line are forecast to bring rainy weather over most of the country on Friday, the state weather bureau said.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), as the shear line affects the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, the easterlies will prevail over the rest of Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, will persist in Luzon.
