By MANILA, Philippines – The father and stepmother of a seven-year-old girl found dead along the shoreline of Dagupan City, Pangasinan have been indicted on charges of kidnapping with homicide.
The Dagupan City prosecutor’s office indicted the couple on Monday following their arrest at their residence in Sison, Pangasinan on August 15 in connection with the death of the girl, who was from Barangay Bantog, Asingan in the same province.
“While backtracking the vehicle used to kidnap the victim, we confirmed that the car was rented… We identified the man and the woman in the rent contract through the CCTV footage of the car owner’s house,” Dagupan police officer-in-charge Lt. Col. Lawrence Calub said in Filipino.
